Catholics in Action is the Catholic Young Adult Ministry for Oshkosh and the surrounding area. The goal of Catholics in Action is to help young adults become disciples of Jesus Christ and active members of the Catholic Church.
Young adults have a great future in the Catholic Church. Within this group are the Church's leaders. One finds the future members of parish and finance councils. Among the young adults is the next generation of Catholic parents. Within this group of young adults are the next priests, brothers, and sisters.
It is the time that our church, in all its dimensions - parishes, agencies, and organizations - becomes pro-active in our outreach to young adults. There is a deep spiritual hunger expressed by many young adults. It is a hunger for meaning, definition, and direction in life. It is rooted in questions that really matter. It reaches higher than career goals to seek a purpose in one's life more basic than work or social status. Christ is the Bread of Life who satisfies that deep hunger.
