Spiritual direction can be very helpful to the spiritual life.
In spiritual direction, two believers gather in the name of Jesus Christ. These two are the spiritual director and the directed. They join in order to help the directed to develop a closer relationship with God and discern the movements of the Holy Spirit in their life.
God has a plan for each of us. This plan varies from person to person. At the same time, God also created general laws and principles which apply to every person in every age. God and his ways are eternal, true, and relevant regardless of the latest fad.
In spiritual direction, the goal is to discern how the Holy Spirit is leading the life of a particular Christian. This is done in the light of what God has reveal through the Bible and the Church.
Young adults in Oshkosh are truly blessed with many spiritual directors in the area. Many of them have indicated a great and generous willingness to help young adults grow as men and women of Jesus Christ.
